Fall in love with the beautiful  lower Mississippi River on this wonderful cruise!

Please note:  $300 has already been added into the final price, along with the $169 port charges.   The $300 will cover our motorcoach transportation to New Orleans and a return trip from Memphis to Snellville.  (As well as the two city tours at each port.)   This amount is based on 20 people signing up and splitting the cost of the bus.  If that number falls below that, I will have to divide the cost of the bus by the number of people traveling.

**Many factors were taken into account with this date that has been selectedAt the top of the list is availability.  Many of the dates I asked for were already closed out to groups.  These included the Ohio River summer cruises.   They have space available on an individual basis; but they are selling so well, they wouldn’t tie up group space.

The majority of the people polled requested the lower Mississippi routes.  My first consideration was weather.   With spring floods, summer heat, and a busy fall travel season next year; I had to go into November to find a date that would work.  I originally wanted the second week of November, but it was closed to groups already.   So……this date will hit my November travel meeting.    I will work around that if necessary and come up with a new date for the meeting.

The November  12 dates seemed to work on several fronts:  I think the weather will still be warm enough to enjoy the boat outside.  And hopefully hurricane season will be over as well, so the river will be in good shape.

I found the pricing on this cruise to be fair.  Several of the categories were actually cheaper than 2015; (although to be fair we had to add in $300 more for our airfare in that price.)  But……we did save on the $69 per person  per tour for the pre and post city tours.   So I think it worked out well.    It will be nice to have our own motorcoach from Daniels too!!

So November it is.  Timing is cruicial on this tour.   I have 15 cabins available right now.  They will hold them for me till December 1.  After that time they  will be on an ‘as available’ basis only.  So the sooner you get your forms in the sooner I can confirm your cabin.  The earlier you get yours in, the best availability you will have.  AND you can request an early dining time in the main dining room for dinner!!

We know the American Queen is an awesome boat – I personally felt it offered a lot more amenities than the Empress.  It also has a lot more public areas too.   And except for Natchez and New Orleans; we really haven’t explored the other areas much.   So I think it will be a lot of fun!!  Hope you will too!!!

Price includes river cruise, $300 bus fee for our transportation to New Orleans,  city tour on our bus with local guide, transfer to boat that day;  all port charges,  short Memphis city tour, one night hotel in New Orleans prior to boarding boat,  all meals on board, (including beer and wine with dinner), all shore excursions on board, (premium tours are available for sale as well);  all onboard ship amenities, and all government taxes.

Price does not include on board gratuities or trip insurance.
