Yay!  It’s time for our annual peach trip to middle Georgia.  We always have a fun time with the H2U group on this trip.  We’ll stop first in pretty Fort Valley at Pearson’s Farms, housed in the old school house.  You can pick from a bag to a half bushel.  They have made a lot of improvements at the packing house, and you’ll like them I promise.  Last year, even with all the shortages, we came home with over 30 cases!  This stop also has great peach ice cream too.  From there we go to Dickie Farms for our second stop.  They too had great peaches last year, ice cream, and terrific produce along with jams and jellies too. It’s a pretty stop with white rocking chairs on the front porch.  We’ll then enjoy a late lunch at Buckner’s Family Restaurant in Jackson.  On the menu is hands down, the best-fried chicken in the state.  They also have one other entrée, and a host of delicious vegetables, side dishes, and cobbler for dessert that are served family style on a lazy Susan style table.  You can enjoy all that you want!  This is always a fun day out and I know that you will love it!
