Warm Springs Getaway – Little White House, Bulloch House Lunch, and Touring
Thursday, March 31, 2022

Again, so happy that State Parks has reopened as well as this fantastic lunch spot!  We are on our way to pretty Warm Springs, GA where we will take some time to enjoy the lovely downtown area with its charming shops and lunch at the always delicious Bulloch House Restaurant on Main Street.  It’s fantastic!  From there it’s on to the Little White House, which was once owned and visited by President Franklin D. Roosevelt.  It’s near here that he visited the warm pools for treatment of polio.  You’ll have a chance to learn more about that at this State Park and watch their film on FDR, and tour their great museum.  You can also tour the home and see the collection of all 50 state flags.  It’s a beautiful, yet small state park.  Next up we’ll travel over toward FDR State Park to make a stop at Dowdell’s Knob, a frequent picnic spot for the president.  It overlooks the lovely King’s Gap and is a sight to behold.  This is a great little Georgia getaway!
