A Little Taste of Tennessee
October 10-11, 2017 / 2 days and one night
We’re going to make a little circle around some of central Tennessees most famous places, and some not so famous places too! We begin by visiting pretty Bell Buckle! We love it for all the cute shops that line Main Street and the wonderful Café! It’s a meat and three kind of place that everyone loves! From there we head over to Shelbyville, home of the famous Tennessee walking horses. We’ll take in a farm tour and learn what makes these horses so special. The horses really do look like they are walking! Afterwards we will check in to our hotel and then make a dinner stop. The following morning we head on over to the town of Lynchburg and you know what made it so famous – Jack Daniels!
We will spend some time in the Visitors Center where you can learn all about Mr. Jack and his famous whiskey. Now remember, this is a dry county, so don’t expect samples. However, the fumes will remind you that you’re in whiskey country. (As there is a lot of walking and steps on the actual distillery tour, we will only make a stop in the visitor center.) From there we head to downtown for some shopping in their charming gift shops and then have an included lunch at Miss Mary Bobo’s Boarding House. Lunch will be served promptly at 11:30 and you’ll be seated at the table for a family style lunch! It’s fantastic. We will make one more stop at the pretty Falls Mill in nearby Belvidere. Nestled in a lush tree lined cove on the banks of Factory Creek is the mill. A lovely couple operates the mill and you will be charmed by them. She is also a weaver, so she will share that skill with you. It’s a pretty little spot, off the beaten track and just perfect to round out our little circle tour!
Price includes deluxe motorcoach, one night hotel, all tours and admission, one breakfast, and two lunches.
Balance is due August 1. Reminder letters will not be mailed out. No refunds after September 10.
