Myrtle Beach at Christmas Time

You are here: Home / Overnights / Myrtle Beach at Christmas Time

December 10-13, 2018
four Days and Three Nights

We love going to the beach at Christmas, but this year we have added an extra day!  It will give us an opportunity to take in another show,  and slow down our pace a little, and see more sites!  We will be staying again at an oceanfront complex, where each of you will have a mini-apartment style room.  You can soak in the ocean views right from your balconies!  You will have an included buffet breakfast each morning at their ocean view restaurant.   We have a fun-filled itinerary planned for you with great shows and wonderful food too!   Let’s just see what all we have planned for you!

Upon arrival, we will check into our hotel.  You’ll have a bit of a chance to rest us a bit after our ride, and then it’s time to enjoy a wonderful seafood buffet for dinner!  We will then return to the hotel to get ready for our shows tomorrow!

During the morning you have the option to visit a local outlet mall for shopping, or to stay and relax at the hotel.  From there we will take in a quick lunch on your own and then head out to the Carolina Opry for their incredible Christmas Show.  It’s known as the Show of the South and is an unforgettable holiday experience.  It features talented vocalist, musicians, a funny comedian and The All That clogging group, just to name a few!  We will follow that show up with another included dinner buffet at a local restaurant and then take in the Alabama Theatre ‘The South’s Grandest Christmas Show’.  It’s always a favorite of the group with their funnyman Ricky Mokel – who has the greatest comedy face around.  This show is full of singers of all ages, and talented dancers and musicians too.  It’s a beautiful production!

The next morning, we will head out to the Murrel’s Inlet area where we will visit Brookgreen Gardens.  Weather permitting, we will take in an eco-tour of the marsh area.  We will follow that up with a visit thru the gardens and take in all the nature and history of this premier garden.  It houses the largest collection of American sculptures, all in a garden setting.  There are over 2000 sculptures thru out the property.  We will enjoy an included lunch while we’re out and then return to the hotel for a bit of a rest and some time to take in the ocean views.   We will then gather for our last show at the all-new Pirates Voyage Show.  I was skeptical at first about this show, but I really think it will be fun!  It retells the Charles Dickens’ classic story with a swashbuckling spin with Captain Scrooge.  It features acrobatics high above the lagoon, comical castaways with a host of animals, and a wonderful dinner as well.   It should be great fun!

The following day it’s time to head back to Georgia with an included lunch in route.  We will be full of holiday cheer and happy just to have been around the ocean.  I can’t wait!  And it’s a VERY affordable price too!!

Price includes deluxe motorcoach, oceanfront hotel with baggage handling, all shows and admissions, visit to garden with boat ride, 3 full breakfasts, 2 lunches, 3 dinners, and tour director.  $50 deposit is due with sign up.  I must know by September 1 if you are going.  Balance is due October 1.  The show tickets are NON REFUNDABLE after Nov. 1.  As you can see from the itinerary there is a lot of getting on and off the bus on this trip.  However, there is very limited walking involved, except at Brookgreen.  Please be mindful of this as sign up.
