Dahlonega and Ellijay – Food, Wine, Apples and Much More Tour!

Join us as we gather to wander the beautiful rolling hills of north Georgia!  We begin in the charming town of Dahlonega, home to the country’s first gold rush.  While here you can take in a bit of shopping in their charming downtown.  Then it’s on to a bountiful family-style lunch at the always delicious Smith House.  Their food is a treat for all.  Afterward, it’s time to head to a local orchard in search of local apples at B.J. Reese Apple House.  You can purchase apples, baked goods, jams, jellies, and much more.  To complete this great day out we’ll top off our tour with a visit to the lovely, family-owned Chateau Meichtry Vineyard and Winery.  It’s here that you can relax and take in breathtaking views of the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains.  We’ll be doing a tasting here and you can purchase their wines as well.  It promises to be a great day!
