February 2-7, 2025

Imagine key lime pie galore, a cruise at sunset, incredible shopping, food, and even a Spanish galleon or two, all make for a relaxing laid-back trip to the most southern point in the USA, Key West!

Day 1:
Morning departure and travel into Florida toward our
destination, the Florida Keys. We shall overnight in Orlando, FL at the Drury Inn with the hotel’s manager reception this evening.

Day 2: Today we follow the scenic highway through the Keys and its islands, such as Islamorada, Long Key, Marathon, and Big 100 Pine Key before reaching the Southernmost point in the USA, Key
West. We will spend the next 3 nights at our luxury resort hotel, The Doubletree by Hilton Grand Key Resort in Key West. This afternoon is yours to relax before enjoying dinner and a chance to view the spectacular sunset at Mallory Square, with its carnival-like atmosphere, craft displays, and a perfect way to watch the sunset over the Gulf of Mexico. B D.

Day 3: A local trolley picks us up for a tour of the Conch Republic, to explore the small island and learn about its famous visitors and residents, from Hemmingway to Buffet, and from pirates to treasure hunters. After the Trolley Tour, your ticket is good for on-and-off transportation around the historic district. Perhaps, you might visit Mel Fisher’s Treasure Museum and see some of the riches that his team pulled from ancient Spanish galleons, or maybe walk over to the Truman Little White House. You could also choose to spend time on Duval Street to shop or visit Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville.

Day 4: This is your day to relax and just take the day at a Key West pace. Tonight, join a Sunset Cruise on board a Catamaran and watch the sunset in this tropical location. The pace has slowed, and we could all get used to these “laid-back ways”.

Day 5: This morning we begin our return to the mainland, retracing our path. Approaching the Everglades, our group boards a large airboat for a thrilling ride into the fascinating, floating wilderness unique only to Florida. For our last night in Florida, we celebrate with a special farewell dinner.

Day 6: This has been a wonderful six days of fun and excitement, but now it’s time to return home with the taste of key lime pie still fresh in our taste buds.

I decided to try something a little different on this trip, as Kelly Tours was able to price this trip out cheaper than I could, as they do a lot of business down in the Keys.

Please note that tour arrangements have been made by Kelly Tours out of Savannah, but they will come to Snellville to pick us up for our own custom trip to Key West. It is limited to OUR group only.

I will be your tour director throughout the trip.

The tour is based on 40 people and that is their minimum.

Payments will go DIRECTLY to Kelly Tours. You can call them to register or mail your payments, including deposits and trip insurance directly to them.

The address is on the next page. Please pay special attention to THEIR details and their cancellation policy.

Our trip code is Trip #19450 and you will need that included in all signup forms.

Looking forward to being in Key West with MY travel friends from
