Day 1: Depart for the Atlanta Airport. Enjoy your flight from Atlanta, GA to New Orleans, LA (Central Time Zone). A motor coach will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel. Enjoy the evening at your leisure. Dinner will be on your own.

Day 2: After breakfast, your motor coach will take you to the boarding dock, and all luggage will be delivered from your hotel to your stateroom so you can relax and soak up the excitement of your voyage! Enjoy a Welcome Aboard Reception once onboard the American Melody with cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and entertainment. As the ship elegantly cruises along the river, engage in the dynamic array of onboard entertainment. Day 4: Cruise to St. Francisville, LA. Day 5: Welcome to Natchez, MS. Nestled along the Lower Mississippi River, this town is a treasure trove of history and architectural wonders. Founded in 1716, it bears the imprint of its French origins, evident in landmarks like Fort Rosalie, a testament to its colonial past. The town flourished during the antebellum era, with affluent planters erecting grand mansions such as Stanton Hall and Longwood, showcasing their wealth and influence.

Day 6: Cruise into one of the most historically significant cities along the Mississippi River today. Vicksburg resonates with Civil War history, where its control marked a pivotal turning point in the conflict. Dubbed the “Gibraltar of the West,” its fortified position linking river and rail was crucial to Union strategy. Explore the National Military Park battlefield on a narrated tour that brings this powerful story to life. President Abraham Lincoln emphasized its importance, declaring Vicksburg the key to closing the war.

Day 7: Today, you will arrive in Cleveland, MS, also known as the “City of Hospitality.” Its history is deeply intertwined with agriculture, particularly cotton farming, reflected in the historic downtown where remnants of the city’s cotton trading past still remain. Cleveland is also celebrated for its contributions to American music. As part of the Mississippi Blues Trail, legendary musicians such as B.B. Day 8: Get ready to feel the vibrant soul as you cruise to Memphis, Tennessee. This historic gem boasts a skyline that dances along the river, lined by sprawling oak trees and historic landmarks honoring its storied past. Feel the rhythm of the city through legendary Beale Street, alive with the sounds of blues and jazz. Explore Graceland, the iconic home of Elvis Presley, and immerse yourself in the legacy of the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll. While you’re here, don’t miss out on the mouthwatering BBQ this city is known for.

Day 9: Cherish your final breakfast on board before disembarking the ship. A motor coach will pick you up and take you to Graceland for the Elvis Experience Tour featuring the audio-guided Graceland Mansion tour, Elvis’ custom jets, and full access to Elvis Presley’s Memphis museums and exhibits. A lunch voucher is included while here. After lunch, bid farewell and be sent on your way for your flight from Memphis, TN to Atlanta, GA.
