I’ve had to change the date on this several times, as I learned that Buckner’s would be closed on our original date.  Sorry!   We so love our Georgia peaches, and we’re off on our annual trip to find them!  First up will be Pearson’s Farms with their historic schoolhouse packing shed.  You can purchase cases or individual bags here, and they will load the cases on the bus for you.  They have GREAT ice cream too!  Then it’s on to Dickie Farms with their quaint rocking chair porch area.  They have a terrific retail area too, which features peaches, home-grown vegetables, jams and jellies, and more ice cream.   Now that we’ve worked up an appetite, let’s go to the family-style Buckner’s Restaurant for an amazing included lunch.   There’s no finer fried chicken in the South!  They always have another entrée selection, and you’ll find bowl after bowl of yummy vegetables, cole slaw, and rolls, too.  I love this day out, and I know you will too!
