Join your travel club friends for a delightful holiday trip to one of the most charming cities in the south! You will fall in love with this historic town.  It’s home to beautiful architecture and wonderful tours. Downtown will be fully decorated in classic Christmas style with ribbons, candles, magnolia leaves, and so much more!   Your stay will include three nights at the Hotel Indigo in Mt. Pleasant, which is just across the bridge from downtown. This lovely location will be the perfect starting point for a host of activities, tours, and great food.  When we arrive and get settled in, we’ll enjoy a great social hour together with 2 wines or 2 beers reception, and heavy hors d’oeuvres!  Time to relax and visit with one another! Other tours include:

• A delicious and filling lunch on way there.
• Christmas traditions carriage ride thru the cobblestone streets for a glimpse of the city with its’ pastel-colored homes on Rainbow Row, the Battery with its charming waterfront location, and block after block of historic homes, churches and all in holiday décor!
• Lunch in the City Market at the always delicious Oyster House Restaurant. (non-seafood option available)
• Step-on guided tour of downtown which will offer further explorations of the city and waterfront, the historic district, and an included a stop at the historic Citadel campus.
• A visit to the City Market with building after building of crafts, art, food vendors, and souvenirs. It will have wonderful Christmas items and decorations throughout! We’ll stay in the area for an early dinner on your own.
• A visit to the lovely Boone Hall Mansion where we will learn about holiday traditions from long ago. The home will be beautifully decorated!  This historic home is one of the most photographed sites in the state and offers a stately oak tree lined drive!
• Dinner cruise around the harbor with music and dancing one evening! They will play a mix of blues and holiday tunes! Get ready to enjoy!
• A visit to James Island with their incredible Jolly Christmas Lights Trail! This is one of the most popular holiday events in the area.  While there we will visit the Angel Oak Tree as well.  It’s the largest live oak tree around!
• A visit and tour of a local winery, where we’ll enjoy a box lunch on the grounds and take in some wine tasting too! They have their own Christmas wine too! 

This incredible town, surrounded by the Cooper and Ashley Rivers is a delightful place to visit during the Christmas season! There should be less crowds and the weather should be comfortable too.   Join your friends with your travel club for this active holiday adventure.  Let the journey begin!
