Deep in the Heart of Texas!

Join us on this fun journey to the great state of Texas!  While there, you’ll enjoy great music, famous bar-b-q, charming sights in historic Fredericksburg, a visit to Luckenbach, two nights on the Riverwalk in historic San Antonio, an HGTV-inspired tour in Waco, home of the Fixer Uppers, time in charming Austin, and so much more!  It promises to be a great time with fun stops, lots of included meals, great tours, and fun! There is great history in Texas, and we will learn and experience so much!  From small towns to big cities and all those in between, we’ll take it all in!

Tour itinerary will include:

One night en route in Hammond, Louisiana.  Two nights in Austin, where you will have a fun evening planned with a great Bar B Q dinner followed by a fun evening at the Broken Spoke Saloon, where you can two-step around the dance floor with the locals!  This tour simply rocks!  We’ll also have a short city tour and do a walking tour of their incredible State Capitol Building, followed by a relaxing boat ride on Lady Bird Lake, which is right in town.   Then we travel to the Hill Country, where we will do a driving tour of the Lyndon B. Johnson Historical Park, followed by a stop and tour at the iconic music spot, Luckenbach!  It’s that great place that Willie, Waylon, and the boys made so famous! Then we’re off to see the charming town of Fredericksburg. While there, we’ll tour their awesome National Museum of the Pacific War.  This museum will amaze you.  It’s named for WWII Admiral Nimitz, who is from this area.   USA Today named it one of the top 5 WWII Museums in the country.  You’ll also have time to take in the town and grab lunch on your own.  

Next up are two nights on the beautiful and quaint Riverfront in San Antonio!  Our hotel will be steps away from the river, and you can experience it right out the doors of our hotel. You’ll love this location. While there, we will have a great guided city tour with a visit to their historic San Jose Mission and a visit to the famous Alamo! We will also enjoy a cruise on their beautiful river, which runs right through the city’s unique canals.  It’s a great tour and is not to be missed while here.   We’ll also have dinner at the famous Tower of America’s Chart House with its amazing views!   This promises to be a lovely evening for all!

Time now to mosey on over to Waco, where we will spend one night.  It’s the home of Joanne and Chip Gaines, and their Magnolia Market and Silo Complex! We’ll enjoy a guided city tour, topped off by a yummy cupcake from their bakery!  You’ll have free time to take in the Silo District.  While in Waco, we’ll also learn some local history with a tour of the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum.  The following day, we will make a nice stop for lunch in Louisiana, and we will overnight in the Ridgeland, Mississippi area.  Then it’s time to head back home!  Join us!!
