Fort Walton Beach and the Pensacola Blue Angels

Are you ready to see the Blue Angels practice?  I hope so!  This trip will be the perfect beach getaway with lots of fun things to see and do, as we enjoy 4 nights at the lovely Beal House Hotel, which is a Hilton property.  It has recently been renovated and features a lovely coastal feel to it.  I know you will love it!   We’ll be staying on the quiet side of this area in beautiful Fort Walton Beach which is located on Okaloosa Island.  It’s just minutes away from Pensacola and the Destin area.   Our property will give us a great location for enjoying the Gulf and for touring the area.   I’ll build in some free time for the beach as well, as the property has a restaurant and bar on-site, as well as a pool.  Can’t wait to get my toes on that sandy white beach!  We have much to do in the area and here are the highlights:

• Attend a practice session of the incredible Blue Angels on the base of the Naval Air Station Pensacola. You’ll see them up close and personal.  It’s an incredible experience to see them here!
• Visit the National Naval Aviation Museum on the grounds of the base. They have a host of aircraft for you to view as well as great Naval history too.  Of course, their gift shop is amazing too!
• Visit to the 1859 Pensacola Lighthouse and the Callaway Keepers Home and Museum at the base. How many will climb the 177 steps?!
• Visit the lovely and historic downtown Pensacola, where we’ll enjoy a short driving tour, and some have free time for you to stroll thru the area too. This tree-lined downtown is absolutely charming!  You’ll see why this town is home to a growing number of retirees.  It’s great!
• Learn about the history of the area and its coastal communities.
• Visit Lulu’s for lunch with its beach theme and cool vibes! It’s located on the river, just outside the Destin area.
• Dinner at Magnolia Grill, housed in a quaint 1910 catalog house. It’s a wonderful spot!
• Another beachfront dinner as well!
• Some free time to enjoy the beach!
