“Mayberry State of Mind”

Join us in ‘Mayberry’ to take in all the sights of this fun old-timey downtown.   You’ll think you were there with Andy, Barney, Opie, and Aunt Bea!  We’ll have stops on the way there, as well as a stop on the way home.  Our tours will include the following:

-Visit to the Rockford General Store, in nearby Dobson, where you can enjoy the lovely drive to this cute old-style general store.

-Guided tour of ‘Mayberry’, aka Mt. Airy.  While here we’ll visit the Andy Griffith Museum, the Museum of Regional History, travel Main Street, and see Floyd’s Barber Shop, Snappy Lunch, Mayberry Courthouse, Wally’s Service Station, the old jail, and lots more.  We’ll have tour time and free time for you to take it all in.  There are lots to see in the local shops and you can even get a pork chop sandwich!

-We’ll enjoy two dinners in town at local restaurants.

-We’ll take some time to head to the Blue Ridge Parkway to take in the gorgeous fall views.  A stop is planned at Mabry Mill, the most photographed spot on the Parkway.  We’ll visit the mill, and their restaurant for lunch, and enjoy their gift shop too.

-On our way home, we’ll take in a local winery for a tasting and an included lunch.

It’s a great fall getaway full of nostalgia, beautiful mountain scenery all around us, and great food and drink.  Join us…..it’s going to be great fun!!!  I can hear y’all whistling the theme song now!
