This pretty northwest Georgia town has received well deserved praise and is now know as the museum capital of the state!  They are fantastic and you will be impressed by all of them.  Upon arriving in Cartersville, we will first visit the Booth Western Museum.  This privately owned museum has one of the largest collections of western art, native artifacts, pottery, and western movie items in the country. Their sculpture collection including some Remington’s are magnificent!  It’s a gorgeous building and very easy to walk around.   Another fun thing here is they have a signed document from EVERY U.S. president in their Hall of Presidents exhibit.  It’s truly amazing to see!  They feature a nice gift shop and a café on site too, so you can enjoy a cup coffee if you just want to relax.  The beauty of this first stop is you can easily walk to the charming downtown which has many shops, cafes, and restaurants.  You’ll have time to enjoy lunch and browse a little bit too.  Following this stop it’s on the Tellus Science Museum. This museum is always a really pleasant surprise to me.  It’s educational, yet fun to walk around.  They have state of the art exhibits, experiences and more.  We’ll end our museum trio tour with a visit to the incredible Savoy Automobile Museum housed in a 65,000 square foot facility.  They have rotating exhibits, a collection of over 100 extremely pristine cars like none I have ever seen.  They are truly remarkably maintained and beautifully displayed. It’s a gorgeous museum!  This is going to be a really fun and active day full of lovely museums and more! This trip will leave at 8:00 and will return around 7:00 pm.
