Dahlonega, Apples, and Winery Visit

This day promises to be a real jewel!  We’re off to Dahlonega to enjoy this historic downtown!  While there you’ll have a bit of free time to enjoy the shops around the square.  Then it’s time to enjoy a bountiful, family-style lunch at the Smith House!  It never disappoints and offers a variety of entrees, vegetables, slaw, rolls and corn muffins and cobbler for dessert!  You won’t go away hungry!  Then it’s time to take Georgia’s scenic apple highway with a stop planned at BJ Reese’s Apple House.  You’ll have time to shop for apples and lots of other goodies from their awesome bakery.  But wait….there’s more!  Our next stop is Chateau Meichtry Winery where we will enjoy a wine tasting.  The setting here with the mountains around us is absolutely stunning.  This is going to be a fine day in the mountains!
