Mountains, Apples, Pumpkins and More

Let’s head to the mountains and explore!  We will start with a stop at Burt’s Pumpkin Farm!   It’s a fun stop and you will see more pumpkins than you can imagine!   You are welcome to purchase them too.  Then we head just around the corner to beautiful Amicalola Falls State Park and Lodge.  We’ll head to the Lodge first and enjoy an included lunch at the Cascades Restaurant with its amazing views of the mountain and the start of the falls.  They have a pretty gift shop too.  Then we drive through the park to the base of the falls for pictures.  It stands 729 feet tall!  It’s here that the Appalachian Trail starts too!  It’s a beautiful place to visit.  Then we continue on up the ‘Apple Road’ to JB Reece Orchards, where we can shop for all things apple!  Of course you can purchase apples, but they have a whole host of great products there too.  It’s a favorite of mine and I’m sure it will be yours too.  I’m excited about this mountain trip!
