Join us for this lovely early fall trip to take in the mountains and beautiful Lake Burton! We’ll begin with a stop at Hillside Orchards outside of Tiger, Georgia, where you can buy some apples and other goodies!  Then it’s on to the Dillard House for a delicious, included family-style lunch there!  Their new dining room is beautiful!  From there, we will make our way to lovely Highway 197, which offers a stunning view of Lake Burton.  While out, we will make a stop at Moccasin Creek State Park, where you can get out and wander a bit and soak up the lake views from their dock.  You can also stop at the Fish Hatchery to see and learn about mountain trout, which is right by the park.  We’ll wander some more on Hwy 197 and make a stop at the lovely Mark of the Potter, which sits right on the Soque River.  You won’t believe how big the trout are here!  It’s a lovely shop with pottery all handmade by a local artist!  This is going to be a fun day out!  The trip will leave at 8:00 am from Cannon Church and will return between 5:30-6:00.
