Deep in the Heart of Texas!

Join us on this fun journey to the great state of Texas!  While there you’ll enjoy great music, famous bar-b-q, charming sights in historic Fredericksburg, a visit to Luckenbach, two nights on the Riverwalk in historic San Antonio, an HGTV-inspired tour in Waco, home of the Fixer Uppers; time in charming Tyler and so much more!  It promises to be a great time with fun stops, lots of included meals, great tours, and fun! There is great history in Texas and we will learn and experience so much!  From small towns to big cities and all those in between we’ll take it all in!

Tour itinerary will include:

-One night en route in Hammond, Louisiana with an included dinner.

-One night in Austin, where you will have a fun evening planned with a great Bar B Q dinner followed by a fun Austin Live Music tour.  We’ll chat with our local guide about Austin’s live music history and later visit a local venue to take in some Texas-style music!  This tour simply rocks!  We’ll also have a short city tour and do a walking tour of their incredible State Capital Building.  Then we travel to the Hill Country to see the charming town of Fredericksburg with its unique German heritage.  While there we’ll tour their awesome National Museum of the Pacific War.   Their galleries include the Admiral Nimitz Gallery, George Bush Gallery of the Pacific War, Memorial Walk, and a lovely Japanese Garden of Peace.  You’ll be totally impressed by their collections.  Afterward, it’s on to that famous spot that Willy, Waylon, and the boys made famous – Luckenbach!  It’s really unique and feels like something from a simpler time.

-Two nights are planned at the beautiful and quaint Riverfront in San Antonio!  Our hotel will be steps away, and you can experience it right out the doors of our hotel. While there we will have a great guided city tour with a visit to their historic San Jose Mission, lunch and shopping in the Pearl district, and then it’s time to see the Alamo!  You’ll have time to see the film and tour too.  Its downtown location will surprise you! Next up is our cruise on their beautiful river which runs right thru the city’s unique canals.  We’ll also have dinner at the famous Tower of America’s Chart House with its amazing views!

-Time now to mosey on over to Waco where we will spend one night.  It’s the home of Joanne and Chip Gaines, and their Magnolia Market and Silo Complex!  It’s a great collection of food trucks, local eateries, shopping spots, and lots of other famous sights made famous on their hit HGTV shows!  We’ll enjoy a guided city tour which will take you by local landmarks featured on the show, as well as some of their upcoming projects they are working on.  Tour will be topped off by a yummy cupcake from their bakery!  You’ll have free time to take in the Silo District.  An optional free trolley is available too.  While in Waco, we’ll also learn some local history with a tour of the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum.  If you’re not a shopper, you can also take the optional tour of the Dr. Pepper Museum, which is nearby.  The company was founded there and features great memorabilia.

-From there we make our way for one night in the charming small city of Tyler where we will take in their famous Azalea Trail Tour, as well as a fun Murder Mystery Dinner at a local venue!

-We’ll round out our journey with an overnight in Ridgeland, Mississippi, and then home.  Join us!!
