Let’s head out to pretty north Georgia and taste some wine!   Our day trip will begin with a visit to Amicalola State Park, where we will take in one of the highest waterfalls east of the Mississippi.   Those who wish are welcome to hike to the top and then join us at the lodge.  The rest of us will go by bus up to the pretty lodge and enjoy am included delicious lunch and gorgeous views!

Then it’s time to go a bit further north to Elijay where we will enjoy wine tasting at two great spots:  Cartecay Vineyards and Chateau Meichtry.

The first one has a lovely setting and is a smaller vineyard with a more intimate setting.

The Chateau is a beautiful setting with a large tasting room and amazing mountain views.  You’ll have the opportunity to taste and to purchase at both spots.

Following our tastings, we’ll make a stop at Reese’s Orchards, where you can buy apples and other delicious goodies.  Their hard cider spot is across the street if you’d rather enjoy that.  The choice is yours!   It’s going to be a fun day in the mountains!

The trip will leave by 8:00 am, and we will return around 6-6:30 pm.

Price includes:  Deluxe motorcoach, driver tip, admission to state park, lunch with tip, two wine stops, an apple stop, tour director, snacks, water, and prizes too!  Full payment is due at sign-up. Please sign up by August 30.  No refunds after Sept 9.
